The “Action for Democracy” movement was founded in 2018 by a group of artists and intellectuals, coordinated by Ivana Jinkings, Sergio Romagnolo, Candida Del Tedesco, Daysi Bregantini, Alyne Azuma and Celia Demarchi.
About 50 artists have pledged to donate at least one artwork to an auction promoted by the “Action for Democracy” movement.
In a Silent Auction format, with also online bidding, the event took place in September 2018, at Galpão VB Associação Cultural Videobrasil, in Vila Leopoldina, São Paulo, provided by founder and director of space, the curator Solange Farkas.
